Madrid to Overturn Smoking Ban to Secure EuroVegas

Madrid and Barcelona are duking it out over which city will be the one to host the new EuroVegas gambling complex. The €17 billion complex will bring in a great deal of tourism and boost the local economy of the host city, so Madrid and Barcelona will do whatever it takes to secure the contract.

Madrid has proposed eliminating its no-smoking policy in indoor spaces. This would open the complex up to a whole new group of visitors and puts the city at an advantage when it comes councils deciding where the new casino complex should be built.This adds to the endless list of advantages that Madrid presents over Barcelona. Famous chef Ferran Adrià has announced that he will work with the project if it is located in Catalonia while Madrid guarantees that a large portion of the potential staff will be English speakers. Madrid also presents three potential sites for the new EuroVegas complex while Barcelona only presents one.
