Canadian Firm ISIS Lab in Mobile Gaming Deal with South African Mobile Telecom Group
Toronto-based social gaming software provider ISIS Lab Corporation came out with an announcement last week that the company was able to close a deal with African mobile network company TelecomX. The agreement is for the Canadian social gaming platform provider to pre-load its mobile regulated social gaming platform “ISISFriends®” into the smartphones of South African-based Mobile Telephone Network (MTN) Group, one of TelecomX’s principal clients.
The agreement though is not limited to the integration of “ISISFriends®” but includes other schemes, since the MTN Group intends to see the fulfillment of its 2014 projections, which is that of selling the smartphones to over a million South African customers. The plan is to initially launch the ISIS mobile bingo application to MTN customers for free-play gaming, and will be followed by the launch of other free-play ISIS social casino game applications already popular at Facebook, at Apple’s iTune App Store and at the Google’s Play Store.
According to Mike Fairon, MTN South Africa General Manager for Products and Solutions, “We believe that the offering that TelecomX/ ISIS brings will enable MTN SA to carve a niche in the market and make us a leader in the rapidly growing world of mobile social gaming.” The MTN Group, (formerly known as M-Cell) is a multinational mobile telecommunications company with operations across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, providing mobile services to more than 215,000,000 subscribers across those regions.
ISIS Lab CEO Daniel Kajouie expressed excitement about the deal saying, “ISIS Lab will be able to leverage TelecomX’s relationship with MTN and the reach that MTN has to such a large customer base to whom we can bring our unique suite of cross border, multi-lingual social games that have found good traction in other parts of the world.”
The Canadian social gaming software provider is relatively new to the iGaming industry as it was founded only in 2010. The Toronto-based company gained recognition in 2013 when it launched its ISISFriends® the world’s first regulated social gaming platform and the”isisfriends.com” website in the UK gambling market. After which, the company won the 2013 GIGSE Conference award as “The Most Innovative Start-up Company of the Year.”
