SSE Arena, Wembley Agrees to Sponsorship Deal With LeoVegas
On February 10, LeoVegas Gaming announced a sponsorship between itself and SSE Arena Wembley.
SSE Arena Wembley agreed to show ads for the LeoVegas mobile casino on both its inside and outside LED display screens at least six times an hour during all events at the arena. This will continue through the end of 2016. Also, under the agreement, LeoVegas will be guaranteed to receive tickets to certain events hosted at the venue.
Shenaly Amin, LeoVegas’s UK Country Manager, said LeoVegas was attracted to advertising at that venue because SSE Arena Wembley hosts many of the most popular acts and entertainment events in the country. LeoVegas wants new audiences to find them, especially the kind of people excited by the shows at SSE Arena Wembley.
This is a reference to the millennial generation, the demographic most likely to attend most of the events at SSE Arena Wembley. As a generation, they do not find traditional casino gambling and games as attractive as earlier generations do. They prefer videogames to slot machines where they have no control over the outcome.
LeoVegas is positioned to most appeal to millennials because its focus has always been on developing games for mobile phones and tablets. It began in 2012 with a layout interface specifically designed for mobile devices. It provides games from 14 different providers, including CrytoLogic and Microgaming. It gives players access to 99 slot games as well as Blackjack variations and 9 video poker games.
LeoVegas also recently made a deal with Kambi plc to offer Kambi’s sportsbook. This will allow bettors to switch seamlessly back and forth on their devices between regular casino games and betting on sports events. That deal should be implemented by April 1.
LeoVegas also runs progressive jackpot games such as MegaFortune and MegaMoolah. In 2015 they paid out the record mobile win: 5.6 million euros. One big jackpot winner treated everybody in the company to dinner.
SSE Arena Wembley is London’s second largest indoor arena, with 12,500 seats, and its most iconic. Built for the 1934 Olympic Games, it is next to Wembley Stadium in the middle of Wembley Park. It hosts music shows, comedy acts, sports events, family entertainment and performances. The Beatles played there three times.
LeoVegas also came to a sponsorship agreement with Celebrity Juice, a popular TV show in the UK. In an interview with SiGMA, the largest iGaming Show in Malta, LeoVegas CEO Johan Styren mentioned how that show’s demographic matches the audience LeoVegas is looking for.
LeoVegas says they run Europe’s fastest and most user-friendly mobile casino. They keep up with the latest graphics and sounds to offer the most compelling gaming experience to mobile device users.
To keep phone and personal information secure, they use a 2048 bit SSL certificate issued by Digicert. Also, if a game freezes, their software makes sure the player never loses their money.
LeoVegas is based in Malta. It is licensed by the Gaming Authority of Malta. In the UK it is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
