The bonus round itself is the best feature in the game and has rightfully earned the top place on our like list. Everything here points to big 5 of a kind wins. The scatters land only on reels 1, 3 and 5 and act as extra wilds during the bonus game.

The highest possible win is achieved if you get the scatter symbols to land on a winning pay line and two of the regular wild symbols to fill in the needed places. This forms the real Golden Caravan with a chance to multiply, depending in which re-trigger round it lands.
With every re-trigger the multiplier increases and we can just hope that the maximum number is very big even up to x 50.
What we Do not Like
This game has everything you could want in order to win big. Extra wild symbols, free spin retriggers and variable multipliers are a great combination, along with a strong pay table.
In general we wouldn’t change anything in the game, except for the fact that the accumulated free spins are reset to 0 once you hit a re-trigger on the reels.
It is disappointing to see extra 10 free spins won, and then lost in the following spin, replaced by a new set of 10, instead of the total 19. Also we don’t like the fact that we don’t know how big the multiplier can be.
Worth Playing?
From what we saw while we were playing the game for real, we can recommend that you try it. Despite the fact that it can payout big, there was nothing to indicate that this is a high variance slot game.
Base play wins are always small to medium, awarding occasional 20 x bet wins, so your balance can drop really slow or you can be in a small plus without even hitting a bonus round. In our session the free spins were a regular guest on our screen and always managed to boost our balance from 20 to 70 x total bet.
It seems that Golden Caravan is more of a low variance video slot, than the promoted high variance by Play ‘N Go.
