Railroad Pass A Different Kind of Casino
Getting old? Perhaps, getting along? Maybe gaining experience, or how about just getting over the connotation that comes with the word “old”, it is relative after all. The perfect example of this can be found in the celebration surrounding a casino in Nevada, Railroad Pass. This casino is not only celebrating getting old (85th year), but is also celebrating being the oldest operating casino in Nevada.
Age Equals Success
So in the context of a business having a long career, how does getting “old” sound? Exactly, and it infers without much question, that success has been abundant. Following a recent change of ownership approximately a year ago, it looks like that success is expected to continue. How this future success is being planned may not be shocking – by doing exactly what Railroad Pass has always done, that is the plan (adding in a few upgrades here and there too of course.
These upgrades were more renovations than revamping, as important as it was to fix a leak in the roof here or to refurbish a room there, keeping the charm that is part of the fabric and hence success of this casino was equally if not more important. Make no mistake, a reported two million dollars in upgrades was spent by the new owner, which means it was done right. Yet it is honestly what makes the Railroad Pass casino at 2800 S. Boulder Highway in Henderson so special, so unique.
A Special Place
When we conjure pictures of casinos, in Nevada no less, it is the bright lights, fast paced, high energy, big money big tension excitement we imagine.
