Catwoman is itching to make her debut in the casino world
When Microgaming was running things, we saw The Dark Knight showcase Batman, and The Joker.
We saw The Dark Knight Rises offer us Bane, Robin, and very briefly, a barely recognisable Selina Kyle. Now, though, Playtech are aiming to bring Catwoman to the online slot world for the very first time, at least properly.
Their upcoming Batman and Catwoman: Cash Slot will certainly make a splash when it lands in the coming weeks, and this kitty has claws. The new slot machine is based on the original television series, and not the Christian Bale movies, or the Michelle Pfeiffer film, Batman Returns.
Batman and Catwoman: Cash Slot is set to bring a lot of joy to lovers of the original comic book strip, and we’re expecting a huge number of players to get to grips with this slot when it is finally launched.
So, with a proper launch a few weeks away, what do we know about the Batman and Catwoman: Cash Slot, and what can we tell you about it?
What we love
This new slot machine game is part of a series – or at least, it is intended to be. Alongside Batman and Joker: Joker Jewels, the Batman and Catwoman: Cash Slot is set to replace the Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network slots.
Since The Dark Knight was pulled from Microgaming’s library this summer, we’ve really missed having the Caped Crusader on the screen. Now, he’s back.

If you did happen to love the old Marvel progressives, you’ll like what Batman and Catwoman: Cash Slot has to offer. There are four progressive jackpots to be won, and they are randomly triggered just like in those aforementioned online slots.
The game also contains a Quick Trigger bonus which can help by giving you a second chance at triggering features, whilst wilds and scatters all play their in boosting your wins. Players will also note that landing scatters on two reels triggers and instant win bonus, whilst landing them on three reels triggers a free spins feature.
What we do not like
Personally, we’d have liked to have seen a bit more of a extended bonus round in the Cat Burglar bonus. Sure, this feature offers you tasty multipliers, but they are only really of use if you manage to trigger the free spins feature.
Aside from that, there’s not a whole wrong with this new release. We’re itching to get to grips with it.
Worth playing?
Put it this way: if you want to play Batman themed slots, you don’t really have a choice but to tread down Playtech’s road. They are soon to be the sole developers of proper Batman themed slots (NextGen Gaming have released a Justice League slot, but that’s hardly all about the Dark Knight now, is it?).
You will have a number of Batman themed slots to play with Playtech, although there is no real reason why you would pick those other Playtech titles over this one. At least, not at this moment in time.
