888.com World Poker Crown Battle!

This Thursday (May 8th) the hunt is on for the 888.com World Poker Crown. Ten lucky players will get a chance to win the crown at the Perlada Castle in Barcelona, Spain after battling more than 2200 players to become a finalist in the $3 million guaranteed event. Prize amounts range from $1 million (1st place) to $22,500 (10th place) and will be 888.com’s biggest poker event to date.

The top ten include Jack Hinchey (Canada), Michael Lawson (Canada), Bart Wetsteijn (Netherlands), Piotr Skiba (Poland), Pini Roberto (Italy), Mark Rossler (Germany), Mark Castonguay (Canada), Arjan van Bavel (Netherlands), Michael Leah (Canada) and Gijsbert van Doesburg (Netherlands).

The event is also being broadcast live at worldpokercrown.com. Pacific Poker members will have a chance to play in a special restricted tournament during the live webcast to win one of four World Series of Poker packages worth $17,000 each by placing their bet on who will win prior to the start of the tournament. The live web cast will begin when there are 8 players remaining (about 14:30 BST).
