Jukepot is a retro themed slot developed by a Nextgen Gaming, and Saber Interactive partnership. We were excited to see this partnership and hoped it would bring us a great game.

We were not disappointed. Jukepot is set in a 1950s American diner, complete with red and white chequered floor and faux leather upholstery. It designed to look like a jukebox. If you don’t know, a jukebox, is a coin operated music playing device. They reached the height of their popularity in the 1950s.

What We Like

We really like how this game is themed, and designed. Nextgen and Saber have go above and beyond for this theme. The panel for instance is designed to look like it belongs to a jukebox, complete with 3D buttons. It is a simple yet effective design, and one of the better ones we have seen.

The reels are bordered by neo tubes that slowly change colours. It all just works so well together to give this slot a real feel. We like the free spins game. It is called the Twist and Shout Locked Reels Free Game, so named because of a locking reels feature.

First things first, the game is unlocked by landing three or more of the Jukepot Symbols anywhere on the reels. The Jukepot symbol is a scatter symbol, and the payline does not need to be on successive reels. There is a monetary value assigned to these scatters as well as the free spins game, so you will win a bit before you win a lot.

Back to the locking reels feature, it will lock any two adjacent reels together on every spin and they will show the same symbols. This feature can expand to include up to five reels, but any number of reels between two and five is accommodated for with this big win feature.

The game also has Stacked Wilds which double as the highest value symbol in the game. There is serious winning potential here, with these Stacked Wilds and the locking reels feature. The Record Symbol is the Wild, and they stack three high.

They are on every reel in the free spins game and the Base Game. Five in a row of the wild Record Symbol is worth 500 credits, which is something of a big win. It is quite easy to land as well. If you get two stacks of wilds next to one another, it is already more than five of the symbol.

There is another feature in the Base Game called the Hot Rodded Stacked Wilds. A Hot Rod will drive across the reels leaving stacked wilds in its wake. There are 243 winning paylines in jukepot, so winning combinations are formed when the same symbol lands on successive reels. This takes the guess work out of what is, and is not a winning line and means you win often. Speaking of winning often, the RTP in this game is a mighty impressive 97.07%.

What We Don’t Like

There is not much to report here. We really like this game, it is one of the better ones out there. Nextgen and Saber have done a great job and we cannot fault them.

Is this game worth playing?

This is one of the few slots that does everything right. If you like the American diner theme and a retro soundtrack, all the better.

If not, this is still a fantastic game, bursting at the seams with features, and winning potential. It has 243 ways to wins, an impressive 97.07% RTP and a Locking Reels feature. We recommend this game to any and all, and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
