November Nine Has Young British Player

The youngest player at this year’s November Nine is 21 year old Anton Makiievskyi of Ukraine. Not far behind him is 22 year old Pius Heinz of Germany, and 22 year old Same Holden of Britain.

Holden is the only British player at the table, and has all of Britian rooting for him to take home the title. It is hoped that Holden will win this year’s main event, since the last win was back in 1990 by Mansour Matloubi.

This year’s World Series of Poker had a slight decline in player turnout, but at 6,865 players, this year’s event was still very successful. After two weeks of battling it out on the table, nine players remained. Sam Holden managed to take sixth position. These players will fight their biggest battle yet, in the final phase of the World Series of Poker, the main event, the November Nine. The winner will get the coveted title of World Series of Poker Main Event Winner.

Although Holden attained the sixth seat, he will still has the lowest amount of chips at November Nine, at just 12.3 million. He has 14 to 1 odds of winning according to Lucky’s sports books. This year’s favourite to win is Martin Staszko of the Czech Republic, and with odds to win at 5-to-2, if Holden wants to win, he’s going to have to play his heart out.
