The symbols, are what you would expect from a retro slot, fruits, 7s, diamonds and a star. The retro is only skin deep on this slot. Around the border of the interface, is where the games bonus feature plays out and it is unlike anything we have seen before.

What We Like

We like the bonus feature, because it’s awesome.  When you are lucky enough to snatch a win from lady luck you get some game show “dummm deeemmm” sounds. Then the reels darken, except for your winning line. And some squares, around the border of the interface light up.

If you look closer, you will see that these square contain the symbol in your winning pay line. A glowing box moves around this border and considers stopping on one of the lit up squares. If this happens, your reels are blessed with more of your winning symbol.

That three, four or even five in a row win, is now a trivial detail when compared to the riches this game will rain down on you. It really is fun. A beautiful concept that brings players, all the way, to the edge of their seat. In a nail biting, roulette style, bonus game.

You are rewarded with 6 to 10 additional symbols for a second win. The amount of additional symbols depends on the original winning line, with five in a row being awarded the most and three the least. It is a bit of, the rich get richer kind of system, but we are not complaining.

What We Don’t like

The wins are a little small. It makes sense, considering the bonus feature. But you become dependent on bonus feature wins, to keep your bankroll chugging along.

There are also 10 pay lines and no free spins, which are features that we online slot bandits have grown accustomed to. There are also no scatter symbols.

Is this game worth playing?

It is worth playing for the bonus round alone. We recommend all avid slot players give it a try. Our plight with this game is it does not offer much apart from the bonus round.

We have short attentions spans, and after watching the animation for the hundredth time. It became apparent that it is the games’ only feature. The Second Strike was clearly intend to be the allure of this game, it was even named after it.

The wins are also quite small unless you unlock the extra symbols. But yeah, that about sums it up. A great game to try out, with a novel bonus round but it does not offer much apart from that.
