Yggdrasil Just Launched Incinerator Slot Machine
Incinerator is a new addition to the titles of Yggdrasil Gaming. It is a five reel twenty payline slot, released Wednesday the 20th of January.
It is themed around a giant rubbish incinerator buried deep in the core of a dystopian planet. Or at least that is what It looked like from the intro sequence, maybe all life on this planet are dead, or they might just be indoors, playing this cracker of a title.
What we Like
The theme, the theme, oh and the theme. This is one of the best concepts for a slot game ever. Like wow what a way to justify the endless repetition of spin, stop, spin stop, that we all love so much that with a giant space Incinerator. My manhood stands to attention, what a stroke of genius from Yggdrasil. They are not paying us to say this either, we are just impressed.
The symbols drop down because it is a cascading slot. The fact it is a cascading slot makes it all the better. The intro sequence showed a long pipe like structure traveling down from the planet’s surface to the incinerator. It is such an eloquent idea, the symbols all shuffling down that tube one at a time, ready to be annihilated by you wins one, at a time.
Oh how we could go on about this one. We like the Wild Pattern feature. Everyone is trying to do something new with Wilds these days. Be they multiplying stacked, locked or loaded, all the slot developers are scratching their normally Swedish heads and trying to come up with the next way to use Wilds. As far as we know Pattern Wilds are endemic to this game, and the good people at Yggdrasil deserve acknowledgement for that.

How they work, is that if you get three consecutive wins in a single spin, remember this is a cascading slot so that is not as ridiculous as it sounds. Then the Pattern Wild is placed on the reels and all the symbols that are where it is going become Wilds. Look just play the game, these things are too hard to explain. There is a reddy orange screen thing on the side of the reels that displays the pattern at the start of the spin and resets every spin.
There are two groups of 8 patterns. The first group are chosen from if the player lands three wins on a single spin. The second group has larger patterns, with more Wilds and this group will be chosen from if the player manages an additional three wins after the first Wild Pattern or if you can’t count six wins all up. We really like this feature, it takes an eternity to unlock but when it happens it is nicely animated and promises a big win.
What we don’t like
Continuing with the Wild Pattern we don’t like that this feature is so hard to activate. Three wins on a single spin is not small ask from this game. Maybe we are just unlucky the player pay back percentage is 96% which is pretty good so we might have just had a bad streak.
But when trying to unlock the feature so we could review it, it took a little over an hour. This game does not have many features. Yggdrasil Gaming could have at least thrown in some free spins.
Is this game worth playing?
This game has a great concept. We would recommend you play it on the merit of the theme alone. It has an ok Jackpot and a good RTP, but this game does not have the big winning potential of some of the other titles out there. Give it a try, it is interesting to see what some of the smaller games developers are putting out there.
