Big Bad Wolf Megaways Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
Big Bad Wolf Megaways is based on the story of the three little piggies, whose houses were taken down by the wolf. It’s the third slot machine of the series that we’re seeing, after the original, the Christmas version, and now it’s a Megaways title as well. They’ve changed plenty of things about this slot, including the size of the game area, but the overall design and symbols remain the same ones. They’re still holding up very well though, even after all these years.
An initial four low symbols show off images of Royals, which are followed by three building utensils fit for straws, wood, and bricks. The three little piggies are shown as well, in the next three positions. The Wolf is the only high paying symbol available. Several types of wilds and a Full Moon scatter are present.
Developer
It’s been over 9 years since Quickspin was established, and I’d say that their presence has been a clear positive for the gaming industry so far. More than 90 casino games are available in their collection, mostly slot machines with gorgeous graphics and many cool features, even above average jackpots being used usually.
Basic Information
How To Play It
A single bet option is available, and it will allow you to change its value between $0.20 and $100, the two extremes of a fairly generous range.
It’s going to be a standard Megaways release, layout-wise, with 6 reels that can each get a random number of symbols (2 to 7). The number of ways to win changes based on the number of symbols that show up, and you could have up to 117,649 combinations formed in a single round. An extra horizontal reel is present at the top of reels 2-5.
Special Features
Tumbling Reels is one of the mechanics that have made the genre popular. They will take winning symbols, remove them from the reels, and then others will drop down and replace them. If this leads to more wins, the tumbles keep triggering as well.
Regular wilds, showing a toolbox and the feature logo, will be used as substitutes that work only together with symbols trying to form winning combinations.
For every two consecutive tumbles in a single spin, one of the three piggies will be transformed into an extra wild.
Blowing Down The House is the bonus game that you can get via 3 Moon scatters, and it consists of 11 free spins. With every new win obtained during these spins, the multiplier increases, and there is a cap on it that’s at 50x.
As you get through the free spins, collect any additional Moon scatters that land, and you can get additional spins and bigger multipliers:
- 3 Moons will add 3 spins and 5x to the multiplier;
- 6 Moons will get you 3 more spins and 10x boost to the multiplier;
- Every Moon beyond the first 6 adds just 1 free spin.
Maximum Payouts
As it’s a Megaways release, this slot machine can pay very well. Maximum wins of up to 26,252x the stake are on the table, in a game that’s got high volatility.
The RTP should be at 96.05%, but you will find casinos that use lower settings, so make sure you go for one that gives you good odds.
Summary
Whether you’re a fan of the original Big Bad Wolf or not, I think you will appreciate the Megaways version. Highly volatile, but with rewards to match the risk, it offers excellent graphics and a story that many will appreciate since it’s so familiar.
