Play Coba Demo Slot Machine – (Free Game & Review
Coba’s name might not be familiar to most, but it’s coming from an ancient Mayan city, present on the Yucatan Peninsula. There are the remains of some kind of temple behind the slot’s reels, but there is a large game area as well, and one populated with a total of 49 symbols (7×7 layout).
You don’t get the most interesting symbols around here, but many of them are themed, and they look pretty good. The three lowest paying symbols have round stone tablets, with different creatures drawn on them. The next three symbols are gemstones, colored in green, blue, or red. Finally, a top symbol with a Skull Gold Coin is going to appear on the reels as well.
Developer
Coba’s developer is called ELK Studios. It’s the sort of company that launches one new slot machine per month, and it looks like they’re doing a good job while keeping this rhythm. Beautiful graphics, plenty of features, sometimes big rewards as well, these are common for many of their releases.
Basic Information
How To Play Coba
A minimum bet of £0.20 is available, with 100 coins in it. There is also a maximum bet of £100, and it also uses 100 coins.
Played with 7×7 reels, which are arranged in a way that would allow gravity mechanics to kick in, Coba allows you to form clusters of 5+ symbols. The best rewards will be coming from clusters of 15+ symbols.

Special Features
Avalanches follow after any formation of a cluster, where winning symbols explode and allow others to drop down on the reels. If new clusters are formed then, additional Avalanches trigger, until no new wins come.
Some help will come from wild symbols, which are the usual substitutes that will allow you to form clusters more easily. These are replacement symbols, which are useful if you can get them next to enough regular symbols, to allow for a new cluster to form. These are multiplier wilds as well, so they help with increased wins. They multiply each other, if there are several wilds in the same cluster.
The unusual bit, is the presence of Snakes on the reels, which are considered walking clusters. These symbols are moved after each drop, and they try to get bigger. If two snakes go across each other, they leave behind a 2x multiplier wild. A Snake gets larger by eating symbols which have the same color, and this allows them to stay on the reels longer.
As you get clusters, you also get points in a special meter. Advance in level, to get more snakes on the reels (up to 6 possible, if you reach the 4th level).
Maximum Payouts
What’s impressive about Coba, is that this is a medium volatility slot machine, and yet it can pay as if it has a much higher risk profile. A jackpot worth 25,000x the stake is on the table in this game. While clusters pay at most 500x the stake, there are both multiplier wilds and Avalanches to make a round pay more.
The downside with most new ELK titles, is that the RTP is only 95% (most of their older slots were at 96%).
Summary
Overall, Coba is another memorable slot machine from ELK Studios, especially interesting because of its moderate volatility and big rewards. It helps that it has unique mechanics as well, for the players that want new content.
