Court of Hearts Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
Court of Hearts features a wonderful design, and most of it will be inspired in some way by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a story that’s delighted many generations already. We’re seeing many of the memorable characters from the court of the Queen of Hearts, either in the background as tiny characters sitting in the stands, or on the reels as major symbols.
Speaking of major symbols, those would revolve around the image of the Queen of Hearts, Jack, Mad Hatter, and Rabbit. We’re also seeing icons with the four card suit icons, set against a wood tile. Several feature symbols were implemented as well, such as the Magic Mirror, Cheshire Cat wilds, or Pocket Watch scatters.
Developer
It’s Play n Go that designed Court of Hearts, and as always they’ve done an awesome job with it. They have a collection of over 200 slot machines so far, and about 50 new ones get released each year (1 per week). Most of them are impressive, both visually and when it comes to features. Though they do re-use some of their work, they release an impressive number of unique titles as well.
Basic Information
How To Play It
Look at the bottom, where you see a series of bet values. Choose one of the visible ones, or navigate to the left or right, to pick a lower or higher amount to use. Its range is between $0.10 and $100, for the total bet.
The setup is of a normal size, delivering 5 reels, each one with 3 symbols on it. There are only 10 pay lines for you to use though. Getting paid requires having 3 or more symbols of the same type, landing left to right on a line.
Special Features
There is one more thing that happens, once you do get paid by forming a combination. A Cascade will trigger then, bringing additional symbols. These replace the winning symbols, and may lead to new winning combinations forming. If that happens, the Cascades continue to trigger and bring new wins, all without you paying anything extra. With only 10 active lines, I wouldn’t expect this to happen too many times in a row though.
Rabbit Hole Bonus is something that can trigger only when you get the bonus symbol with the Magic Mirror to show up somewhere on the reels. Whenever this happens, either during paid or free spins, the feature will randomly deliver one of the three wild features available.
- Cheshire Cat Wild Reel: it moves to a different reel, if cascades trigger, but it sticks around for the rest of the spin.
- Caterpillar: adds 4-7 extra wilds to the reels.
- Dormouse: gives you a growing Mega Wild, which can get to 4×3 positions occupied.
Randomly, before a spin starts, you may get a White Rabbit to appear and add two Pocket Watch scatters on the reels. This is the Rabbit Reward.
Either by getting your own 3 scatters, or with help from the Rabbit Reward, you can trigger the free spins this way. There is a small reward given, just 5x the stake, along with 9 free spins.
In free spins mode, you will find several extra abilities that can improve your winnings:
- an unlimited win multiplier, going up by 1x after each win/cascade.
- Queen of Hearts is an extra wild.
- 1 extra spin added for each new scatter.
Maximum Payouts
Wins of up to 8,500x the stake can be delivered by Court of Hearts, and it’s a very good top jackpot, even though we’re looking at a slot with a high volatility. RTP is 96.27%.
Summary
Court of Hearts looks great if you care about the visuals, but it doesn’t stop there. You’re also going to find fun features, big potential rewards, and a high enough RTP.
