Manic Millions is a brand new video slot from NextGen Gaming. Admittedly it may not be able offer you millions, but this slot is certainly not shy when it comes to handing out the big bucks. Manic Millions features a cool 5 reels and 25 paylines of mad scientist themed action.

The Manic Millions slot also allows you to enjoy comedic animation, nifty audio, and some richly rewarding random features. In many ways, this NextGen Gaming video slot encompasses everything that NextGen have done right in the past, and raises it up a bar with its superb 3D graphics and imagery.

Developers

There can be no denying that NextGen Gaming usually delivers when it comes to the slot. Sure, the company may not quite have the reputation of Microgaming, Playtech, or Net Entertainment, but they are certainly up there challenging.

Manic Millions is able to comprehensively offer a wide range of options in this game, and many of their much loved features from other games take a starring role in this slot.

Manic Millions is perhaps a step in a new direction for the company, though, with the developers working in 3D graphics and animations aplenty to make Manic Millions feel like something wholly new to its players.

How to play

There is nothing out of the blue with the payline structure in this slot. Players will see that there is a total of 25 paylines spread of the slot’s 5 reels, and that there is a degree of flexibility in the coin denominations.

These range from $0.01 up to a massive $25 per line. Players are therefore going to be able to wager anything from a minimum stake of just $0.25 per spin, up to a maximum wager of $625 per spin.

Features

Wild symbols: Naturally, you will find plenty of wilds to help you along the way in this game. The mad scientists as a wild icon, and he can replace all other symbols in the slot with the exception of scatter symbols.

Scatter symbols: Those scatters take on the form of the Manic Millions Bonus symbol. When you land 3, 4 or 5 of these in any positions on the screen, you will trigger a free spins bonus round. Scatters also dish out scattered wins when 3 or more appear in any positions on the reels.

Igor bonuses: Players should keep an eye out for Igor. He is located to the right of the reels. At any point in the base game (or free spins), he may decide to flick a lever, which will send bolts of electricity onto the reels.

What good is that? It can only turn symbols into wilds or scatters to give you more chance of landing bigger wins, or triggering the free spins bonus.

Free spins: As we’ve said, there is a free spin bonus in this game. You’ll need to locate three scatters to trigger it. Once the bonus has been triggered, players will get 10 free spins.

Wilds are more frequently occurring in this bonus round. Igor will do his bit to help you along the way, too. Aside from the bits which contain Igor, this is a pretty generic free spins bonus game.

Gamble feature: We’re not fans of gamble features, but one has been included in Manic Millions all the same. This bonus (if you can call it that) can be triggered after any winning spin, allowing you to gamble your winnings in a rather mundane gambling game.

Personally, we’d give this one a miss. Your odds of winning are about the same as your odds of losing your winnings, so why risk it?

Maximum pay-outs

Players can scoop a non-progressive jackpot, and one which is pegged at 1,250 coins in total. That’s pretty standard fare from NextGen Gaming, so there is nothing out of the ordinary with that.

You will need to line up 5 scatter icons anywhere on the reels in order to bag that non-progressive prize. Failing that, players can pocket a secondary jackpot prize of 1,000 coins if they can line up 5 wilds on any active payline.

Summary

This video slot certainly has an interesting setup and theme. We like that NextGen Gaming have stuck to what they know, and at the same time become a little bit adventurous with their imagery and graphics.

This is one of the better mad scientist themed slots out there (there are several, believe it or not), and makes for an entertaining time for any player who chooses to give its reels a spin.
