Play Roman Power Slot Demo Free & Review
History, and the long lost civilizations that we’ve heard about in books, movies and even games, has gotten the attention of a lot of people over the years. It’s been interesting learning about emperors, expanding empires and the soldiers that made it all possible, and now it’s fun to check out Roman Power as well, and see how well the legions have been implemented in a slot machine. War and the Roman soldiers in particular, appear to be the focus for this new Microgaming release.
Using a Roman temple and its pillars as support, the game area varies its symbols from the various golden Royals of low value, to the images of soldiers, crossed swords, helmets, shields and several other armor pieces. Not a bad design overall, though it’s not terribly interesting either. Mostly, it’s an average look, for a fairly common theme, which you will likely find in better shape elsewhere.
Developer
The company behind Roman Power is Microgaming, though the implementation of this idea was made via Spin Play Games, a partner studio of theirs, and an exclusive supplier of content for their platform. It’s the first game that Spin Play does for Microgaming, with more being expected to come in the future.
Basic Information
How To Play The Slot Game Roman Power
When playing Roman Power, you have a betting range between£0.20 and £50, that you can use. It covers the 20 lines with bets of up to £2.50.
What you’re looking at, is a game with 20 paylines on 5×3 reels, one of the most common setups that you will get from a modern slot machine. It’s got mostly common features, along with some exciting multipliers, but more on that below. For now, suffice it to say that this slot shouldn’t pose any challenge to you, it’s easy to figure out.
Special Features
Expanding Hero Wilds are going to be among the game’s major features, a symbol which acts as substitute, and which will be part of all winning combinations that are formed in the same spin. This is possible because the Hero symbols have the ability to expand, and so they end up taking over entire reels, provided that they can be part of a new win when they do this.
Only one other major feature has been added here, a Power Multiplier which has a random chance of triggering when you get wild symbols on the reels. If they do, then there will be a multiplier chosen at random, out of a list of predetermined values, which range from 2x to 10x. Whatever win you got that round, will be boosted by up to 10x then, making this the most profitable feature of all, if you can get it to trigger at the right time.
That’s pretty much it for the big features of Roman Power. The slot is simpler than I expected, and not that fun to play if you like a bit of complexity in your games.
Maximum Payouts
Despite the rather simple nature of the game, there is still decent potential in it, and you can expect for wins of up to 4,000x total stake. It is also a game with high volatility, as a result of its above average top payouts. You need both wilds and Power multipliers present, to get the most out of the game though.
Summary
Roman Power is one of the below average releases that we’ve seen launched by Microgaming in recent months, a game that I’d consider a con for their partnership program. It doesn’t have graphics, features or even payouts that would be considered better than what the other Ancient Rome themed slots are giving us.
